It has been a weird kind of week this week, with a lot of it spent in bed recovering from the first serious cold I can remember ever having. Spending all of last Saturday outside in the cold probably did not help, nor playing in the snow on Monday-  but heck, who could argue with the results?

Those who reside in New Zealand, will already know that we had snow in Christchurch yesterday. Those of you who follow me on Twitter will be sick to death of hearing about it I suspect - because quite honestly I was as excited as a 5 year old about it!

What I personally believe is that Christmas should be about what you want. I was a little hesitant about the shape I must admit as I was not sure if it would flatter my hip line, but I am pleased to say I am really delighted with the outcome.

I did however manage to get into Bolt of Cloth which is a rather amazing fabric store . It is more home decor than dress fabrics, and more soft furnishing fabrics than upholstery, but that's okay because that is totally my buzz at the moment with all the nesting I am doing.

There is heaps I have to do before I will feel like I am truly settled in to my new home, mainly in relation to trying to fill a 4 bedroom house with furnishings previously contained in a one bedroom house! I need to buy a few key pieces of furniture, such as a new desk for the office, a bed for the spare room, and a dining suite, plus I want to rejuvenate my current furniture.

As many of you know I have being running my own business for the last few months, a business I started after being made redundant late last year, trying to make the most of a bad situation.

Ever since I have being day dreaming about buying a caravan, renovating it, and living life on the road as a bit of a gypsy, just me, Cohen and my sewing machines. It has completely distracted me from the task at hand for many an hour.
