{Summer projects - cruiser}

With summer comes summer holidays, and that for me this year means a month off work, bliss!

Whilst I do want to have a little rest and relaxation time during the month, spend time at the beach, explore the city by bike and take mini road trips, I also want to get a few projects done, or at least underway, around the house.

A friend once commented to me that I always seem to have a restoration project on the go, truth be told its closer to five.

Of late I have shoved them down the priority list in attempt to focus on the business, this lack of 'getting my hands dirty' is one of the reasons I cannot wait to sink my teeth into these projects, there is something extremely satisfying about being turning something mediocre into something marvellous.

One of the projects I am looking forward to the most is a revamp of an old Raleigh 3 speed I picked up for the bargain price of just $30.00 a few months back Mechanically it is great, cosmetically, she needs some serious TLC. I cannot wait to take long rides, cruising along without any regard for destination or time.

As most of you know by now I am not a frilly fluffy kind of a gal, don't get me wrong, I am a girls girl, but I sure as heck ain't candyfloss sweet. So, this is a bit of branching out for me, but, I have decided to opt to have a little fun, and be a little frillier than usual,or dare I say it kitch.

This is the inspiration board for my new cruiser:

I cannot wait for mid December when I start my leave, so I can also start working toward creating this little beauty!
