The 'little' things in life that I am grateful for, or that made me get happy this week are...
- Flowers in the bedroom
- A Saturday morning sleep in
- Three day weekends
- Paper mache in the sun
- Making a giant 'goals' wall broken down in to short, medium and long term goals
- Good coffee
- Long chats with the neighbors
- My old flatmate emailing from Holland, I miss her (and so does Cohen)
- Daylight savings, it is so nice to have those extra daylight hours to get out and enjoy
- Doing things this week I couldn't do last week, generally relating to physical activities
- Hearing news that 2500 people had volunteered to help clean up after the Rena disaster
- Seed planting, a mix of summer veges and flower seeds which my nephews sold me last summer (to fund Lego buying and the like)
- Long showers
- Daydreaming in the sun
- Planning future refurbs
- Hugely productive days
- A little away time from the internet to refocus
- Rugby World Cup. Despite my usual dislike for rugby, football and the like, and my even bigger dislike for the hero worship society bestows upon a bunch of men who are notoriously stupid in their behavior on and off the field. A society which remains mostly oblivious to those from the Arts or Academic fields who contribute to society in a much more positive way. Despite this, I cannot help but be caught up in the fever of the Rugby World Cup when it is been hosted in your own country. So, for the next couple of weeks I will push side my negative bias towards the boys who chase balls around a paddock (and get paid way too much to do so whilst nurses and teachers continue to be undervalued) and say 'Go the All Blacks!'
- It would not be a sunshine post without a little love for Cohen, this week he gets points for scaring off a baddie, and giving the best Saturday morning snuggles
I hope you had many get happy moments this week too?
